Name: Vincent Law/Ergo Proxy
Height: Vincent is 5'9 while Ergo is 8'
Age: Vincent appears 24, Ergo is several thousands of years
Hair: Dark brown, sometimes a mess sometimes slicked down with a few strands that don't cooperate
Eyes: Vibrant green/White
Occupation: Vincent is an Autoreiv (robot) repairman/disposal, as such he's good at mechanical related things. Ergo is good at killing things.
Personality: Vincent is fairly bland, he has little to no social life, work usually cutting into everything. He wants to desperately be a part of something, specifically to become a Fellow Citizen, to belong and to be reasonably important, not knowing that this stems from his other half who wanted to be among humans but is considered a monster by most.
Backstory: The world has gone to shit and the last humans live in massive cities called Domes. Vincent came to the Romdeau dome as an immigrant fleeing the Mosk dome due to unknown reasons. He got a job as an autoreiv mechanic and strove to be obedient and eventually make his way up to becoming a citizen. However, unknown to except a select few, there's been an Awakening, and the Proxies, once guardians or rather demi gods each in charge of a dome have begun to realize their time is up, as the world is healing and the need for them is unnecessary.
Vincent, unbeknownst to him, is a Proxy and strange events start to occur. He's charged with attacking the Regent's (dome leader's) granddaughter, Re-l, whom he's had a crush on and been drawn to since seeing her. He doesn't remember attacking her however as it was his other half who did it.
He's then set up by someone, finding his personal autoreiv has been destroyed, the authorities come after him, he flees, figuring his life is over, he jumps from the dome. But he survives the fall somehow and many others apparently live just outside the dome, outcasts, living off what the dome throws away.
He then decides he wants to return to Mosk, find out what happened and who he is as he cannot remember beyond coming to Romdeau. He's joined by a child autoreiv named Pino who has grown a soul so to speak thanks to a virus affecting autoreivs called the cogitovirus. She's attached herself to Vincent as she also has no place in a dome that would scrap her. Eventually Re-l also joins them on the road back to Mosk. At first she wants to bring him back to Romdeau, but turns to wanting to find out the mystery that are the Proxies.
Along the way, they encounter other Proxies, whom Vincent's other half deals with swiftly, though at first he carries no memory between transformations until at last Kazkis Proxy elaborates to him who he is. But Vincent's and Ergo's minds are still separated thanks to Ergo wiping his own memory, for reasons neither can remember.
I won't elaborate further as I like the duality of both and prefer to play them at this canonpoint.
Other notes: Vincent and Ergo share the same body, Ergo usually taking over when Vincent is about to die, gravely injured, or encountered another Proxy.
Proxies cannot die except at the hand of another proxy, even able to regenerate limbs in a matter of moments.
Each proxy has a specialty. Kazkis for example is the Agent of Light, and Ergo is the Agent of Death
